Before you start
- Membership in the course that owns the files.
- For managing files or whiteboards, an assigned instructor role in a course that is not archived.
You are done when
- The Files area shows the expected folder structure and each item opens in its workspace.
- An edited whiteboard shows All changes saved before you close it.
If something goes wrong
- Use the offered retry when a folder, preview, or whiteboard fails to load; the original file can also be downloaded from its workspace.
- If a whiteboard reports that a newer version exists, reload it before continuing; unsaved local changes are replaced by the latest saved version.
Work in the course library
Open Courses, choose the course, then open Files
Students browse a read-only library. Instructors see New folder, Upload files, and New whiteboard, plus rename, move, and delete actions on each item.
Organize with folders and drag and drop
Drop files anywhere in the file area to upload them, or drag an item onto a folder or a breadcrumb to move it. Names are limited to 160 characters and cannot contain slashes.
Switch the layout when it helps
Use the list or grid view, and move through the folder tree with the arrow keys.
Open files without leaving Mirket
- Office documents open in the document workspace powered by ONLYOFFICE. Instructors can edit, and saved changes go back to the course file; students preview in view mode.
- Course video plays in the protected player with a course-bound source.
- Unsupported types offer the original file as a download instead of a broken preview.
- Wait for the saved indicator before closing an editing session; closing earlier can leave the latest changes unsaved.
Draw on whiteboards
Create or open a whiteboard
Instructors choose New whiteboard in Files; anyone with access opens an existing one from the list. Whiteboards are Excalidraw files stored inside the course.
Rely on automatic saving
Edits save shortly after you stop drawing, and Save now forces an immediate save. A whiteboard is limited to 8 MB.
Resolve conflicts by reloading
When a newer session saved first, Mirket blocks further saves and offers Reload whiteboard. Reloading replaces unsaved local changes with the latest saved version.
Collaborate live
- Instructors can enable a live room per whiteboard and choose who may edit: assigned instructors only, or all course members.
- Students can edit only while the live room is enabled with the all-course-members policy; otherwise they follow the board in view mode.
- Every participant joins through authenticated course membership, and live changes are checkpointed back into the protected Excalidraw file.
- A .excalidraw download of the current scene is available from the workspace.
