Ownership and data
- Where does our data live?
- In your installation. Mirket is on-premise-first: PostgreSQL, Redis, and object storage run inside the deployment you control, and customer configuration is mounted at runtime rather than built into the application image.
- Is our facility isolated from other facilities?
- Yes, and not by a tenant column. Separate facilities do not share application processes, PostgreSQL, Redis, or storage namespaces. One installation serves one facility.
- Can we export our data?
- Analytics carry a defined retention boundary and a portable export. The underlying database and object storage are yours, because they are running on your infrastructure.
- Does Mirket call home?
- Licence verification is offline. A licence is issued to one stable installation identity and verified against a key embedded in the application, so no network call decides whether your facility can operate.
Running it
- What do we need to run Mirket ourselves?
- A host that can run the composed stack, and someone comfortable operating containers, holding backups, and applying upgrades. The deployment page describes the services involved.
- What if we do not want to run it?
- There is a hosted licence for facilities that want the product without operating the stack. Both shapes are described on the pricing page.
- How do upgrades work?
- Configuration is mounted at runtime and migrations run as an explicit step, so an upgrade does not rewrite your settings or migrate a database as a side effect of a restart.
- What happens to our licence in a disaster recovery?
- The installation identity is not regenerated by recovery or by an upgrade, so a recovered facility does not need a reissued licence.
The product
- Which roles does Mirket support?
- Students, instructors, and administrators each use their own application, and operators have their own guidance for keeping the installation healthy. A session belongs to one role application; signing in to the wrong one is refused rather than silently adapted.
- Is chat safe for a school?
- Blocking and direct-message controls are enforced inside the homeserver, not only in the interface, so a client that ignores the UI still cannot route around them.
- Can exams be defended after the fact?
- Publishing an exam freezes an immutable version, attempts are bounded by delivery window and time, and scoring keeps its audit history. A later edit creates a new version rather than changing what a student already sat.
- What languages are available?
- English is the initial publication language. The content models and layouts are built so Turkish can follow without restructuring.
